Many thanks to our leaders and student that planned, recorded, danced, spoke, and worked to prepare for our Leader in Me pep rally! We enjoyed what our students shared about the principles that we are all practicing to make BES the place where greatness happens!

STEM Project for BES

While in STEM, fifth graders learned about measuring angles with protractors while helping to create our hydroponics growing station. Hydroponics is growing plants in water instead of soil.

This station is located in our green octagon in the main hall. Please stop by and view the growing in progress.

The Motto of Brooklet Elementary School is:

BES Chosen As A "Highest-Performing" Reward School

For the fifth consecutive year, Brooklet Elementary School was chosen as a "Highest-Performing School" by the Georgia Department of Education. According to the GADOE website, "A “Highest-Performing School" is a Title I school among the top 5% of Title I schools in the State that has the highest absolute performance over three years for the “all students” group on statewide assessments."

“These schools are shining examples of what we can achieve in public education in Georgia,” said State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge. “I want to take what’s working at our Reward Schools and replicate that in every school in the state. These are the schools making education work for all Georgians.”

Students Collaborative Works of Arts

Mrs. Crystal Holman, our Art teacher, has been working on the "7 Habits" in the Leader in Me with her students. Part of that is to have all the students collaborate on pieces of art across all grade levels and classrooms. Below is just one of many paintings we are displaying.

This collaborative project is the combined artistic efforts of students in kindergarten through 5th grade at Brooklet Elementary.  Each beautiful painting is the result of 12 to 16 students who added their fingerprints to contribute to the amazing pieces of art.

To view more of our student's work, click on the painting at the top, to go to Mrs. Crystal's Art Webpage.
